Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy or FTIR testing is one of the most important testing required during plastic testing, Rubber testing /Polymer testing. Infrared Spectroscopy uses infrared rays that pass through the material / sample under test and helps us identify the major functional groups present in the polymer. FTIR testing generates a graph/Spectrum in the form of Transmittance /Absorbance vs frequency. Frequency is basically the representation of polymer molecular bonds.
